A Culture of Challenge
From Kindergarten through Grade 6, there are “challenge days” in the Forsyth Adventure Center. These challenge days involve climbing, traversing the high ropes course, as well as other teamwork activities outside. But there are many forms of authentic challenge at Forsyth, from all-School assemblies led by Kindergarten – Grade 3 students and upper school plays in Grades 4, 5, and 6, to the Living Museum of American History, Wagons West, and the Greek Museum, all social studies “exhibits” that involve research, writing, developing displays, and assuming the identity of historical characters. All of these examples balance basic skills with meaningful and engaging application.
